The drain is a small part, but a wrong size or finish can spoil a new sink. Here is a short checklist.
Check the size
Measure the drain hole in your sink. The part must fit the hole, and the thread and connection must match your plumbing.
Pop-up or grid?
- Pop-up drains open and close with a small push or a lever, so you can fill the sink.
- Grid drains are fixed and let water run freely. They are common in kitchen and utility sinks.

Match the finish
If your faucet is unlacquered brass, a brass drain will age in the same way and the two will look like a set over time.
Before you order
- Check whether your sink has an overflow hole.
- Ask a plumber to confirm the connection type.
- Send us your sink details if you need help choosing.
